With headquarters in the German capital Berlin, the German Energy Agency GmbH (dena) is the center of competence for energy efficiency, renewable energy and intelligent energy systems.
The dena was founded in the Fall of 2000. Its shareholders are the Federal Republic of Germany, the Bank Group KfW, Allianz SE, Deutsche Bank AG and DZ BANK AG.
The focus of their work consists of the development of sustainable energy systems that produce and use energy as efficiently, safely, inexpensively and as climate-friendly as possible – both nationally and internationally.
The dena develops markets for energy efficiency and renewable energy and cooperates with important figures from the realm of politics, business and society. It informs users, builds networks, evaluates technologies, analyzes foreign markets, expands international cooperation and develops future scenarios.
This variety of tasks is reflected in the large number of diverse events – from podium discussions with a small circle of important figures to international conventions.
